PhoebeMD: Medicine + Poetry
PhoebeMD: Medicine + Poetry was originally created in 2013 by Dr. Phoebe Chi as a personal medical poetry blog. Today, it serves as a platform for inspiring and educating readers through a combination of essential health information and the arts. While the earlier content on PhoebeMD.com features original poetry penned by Dr. Chi herself, PhoebeMD: Medicine + Poetry now focuses on showcasing the talents of writers, bloggers, and authors all around the world. This includes a curated mix of inspiring health stories, encouraging words, and original poetry—all aimed at uplifting and empowering the reader community.
About the Editor
Phoebe Chi, MD, MPH is a physician, author, and medical editor whose humanitarian efforts over the past two decades have spanned the regions of Central America to that of Sub-Saharan Africa. She attended college at the University of Texas at Austin, received her medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and obtained her public health and global health degrees from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. With a focus on health promotion and disease prevention and management, Dr. Chi has developed chronic disease management programs for health systems across the nation aimed at reducing hospitalizations and enhancing the quality of life for those living with chronic conditions. She is the author of Being Empowered for a Healthy Heart: A personal guide to taking control of your health while living with chronic conditions—a poetry-infused health guide that has been praised by readers as being like “having a personal physician at your side.”
Dr. Chi is the founder of Pendants for a Cause, a nonprofit organization that creates handcrafted sea glass jewelry for the purpose of raising funds to fight illness, provide care, and bring awareness to medically vulnerable populations around the world.
Welcome to PhoebeMD: Medicine + Poetry. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the recent follow! Since I’m really just puting random thoughts out there, I’m sure I can also be very wrong with things. If that should be the case, just call me out on it!
Regards and respects.

Hi Phoebe, thanks for taking the time to read and follow my blog.
Amazing that human nature has the capacity to bring great happines to others through giving – while that same nature has the capacity to bring great suffering and misery to others through getting. Duality of man-kind!
After reading some of your postings I would like to sign-up as a follower.
I look forward to reading more of them.
Warmest regards
John
